Thursday Thought – Mad World

I write about connection and how leaders need to find and nurture connections between people, ideas and vision.   Sometimes the best way to understand something is to turn around and look in the opposite direction. 

Isolation is the opposite of connection.   We are all human and thus, each of us is well versed in isolation. 

A favorite song for me is Mad World.  I love Tears for Fears who originally performed this song, but the haunting version by Gary Jules digs deep for me.  Others may interpret the song differently, but for me it speaks of the isolation we all experience. 

The greatest gift of leaders is to lead people from the dark of isolation to the light of connection.  As we connect, we understand each other.   As we understand each other WeMoveTogether.
